Cubic twisty puzzles
The Rubik's Cube (a 3x3 cube) was the first twisty puzzle to be realised in physical form, and became wildly popular worldwide in the early 1980s. Other sizes of cube were soon manufactured.
The 5x5 cube was manufactured in plastic by at least 3 firms.
A plastic 4x4 cube puzzle, the "Rubik's Revenge", was produced early in Cube history.
